FreeFinance is an established Austrian cloud accounting product: cash-basis accounting, UVA filing and a direct FinanzOnline interface all sit in the cheap Business package. What you cannot do with it is write invoices — invoicing starts in the Plus package at €25 net per month (€22 on a 36-month term).
The name misleads, by the way: FreeFinance is not free — after a 30-day trial you pay up front, for 12 or 36 months. Billy comes from the other side: an AI invoicing app from €9 a month, cancellable monthly, that creates invoices from prompts and automates the follow-up.

When FreeFinance is the better choice
To be fair: FreeFinance is deeply integrated with the Austrian tax system — UVA filing straight to FinanzOnline, compliant bookkeeping, a 30-day trial. If you want to run your entire books yourself, it is a well-rounded package. Billy deliberately does not cover accounting.
